PAANANEN, Victor Niles Age 75, of Revere, died of cancer Sunday March 24, 2013, in Cambridge, MA. A graduate of Harvard University AB magna cum laude in 1960, and University of Wisconsin, MA and PhD in 1964 and 1967. He retired in 2002 from MSU, where he was a professor since 1968. He previously taught at Williams College, MA and Wofford College, SC, and was named honorary fellow at Roehampton Institute, London. He authored two books, William Blake and British Marxist Criticism, and numerous articles. Survivors include his wife, Diane of Revere; sons, Karl of Lansing, MI and Neil (Randi) of Royal Oak, MI and grandchildren Erik and Ava. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Columbus, Wisconsin, resting next to his first wife Donna.
