Warden, William A.
Of Saugus, July 26, at Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation, Methuen, age 88. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy B. (Stocker) Warden, Bill was born in Lynn, the devoted son of Alexander and Mabel (Ladder) Warden. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the South Pacific during World War II. He met Dottie while working as a machinist and they resided in Saugus for most of their married life. Bill had been a long standing member of the William Sutton Masonic Lodge and moved through to both the Scottish Rite and Aleppo Shrine Temple. He enjoyed golf, Saugus Retired Men's Club, trips to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun, puzzles, long walks and his Doberman, Von. Bill is survived by his brother, Raymond of NH and his sisters, Shirley Wheeler-Hardwick of OR and Martha Mass of TX. He was predeceased by his sister, Phyllis Messier of ME. "Uncle Billy" is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS, on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hour prior to service 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Interment Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
