ANDERSON, William E. "Bill" 83, of Ashland, formerly of Bellingham, died May 2, 2013, after a brief illness. He was pre-deceased by his first wife Audrey of 25 years, and his second wife Eileen of 7 years. Beloved father of Audrey Anderson and her husband Bill Clark of Ashland, Bob Anderson and his wife Tracy of Mendon, Dianne Anderson of Wareham, and Steve Anderson and his wife Noreen of Wrentham. Bill is also survived by his grandchildren Sam, Bill, Corinne, and Jeanine Clark, Lindsay Schmitt, Lauren and Jillian Anderson. Brother of the late Eva Glacy and Uncle to Betty McEnaney of Chester, VT. Korean War Navy Veteran (SeaBee), and 37 year employee of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Highway Engineering department. Bill was an avid golfer and long time member of Franklin Country Club. He was raised in West Roxbury and graduated from Boston Tech High School and Tri-State University in Angola, IN. He received a BS in Civil Engineering and Registered Land Surveyor designation. Funeral will be held on Monday May 6th with a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Brendan's Parish, 384 Hartford Ave, Bellingham. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery will be private. There are no visiting hours. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Bill's memory to the Jimmy Fund.
