WILLIAM JOSEPH BREWER(1941 - 2013)

BREWER, William (Bill) Joseph 72, beloved husband of Agnes (Keane) Brewer, of Ellington, passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 28, 2013 with his family by his side. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 1, 1941, and was son to the late George and Eleanor (Eager) Brewer. He was married to the love of his life Agnes for 49 years. He served in the US Army and worked for many years in the trucking and transportation industry. Having grown up in Dorchester, he moved to Peabody, Massachusetts where he lived and raised his family for more than thirty years. The past eleven years he has lived in Connecticut with his wife, daughter and her family. Time spent with his family and friends brought him great joy. In addition to his wife, Agnes, he is also survived by his children, Sean Brewer and his wife Lori of Massachusetts; Michael Brewer and his wife Angela of Minnesota; Maureen Armstrong and her husband John of Ellington; and Kathleen Brewer and her partner Maggie of Newington. His greatest joy in life was his family, especially the time spent with his grandchildren, Matthew, Katie, Ainsley, Fiona, Maura, Mettine and Maggie. He leaves behind his siblings John Brewer and his wife Carol; Ann Picewick and her husband George and was preceded in death by his brother George and his wife Dottie. He enjoyed spending time with is brothers in-law and their wives, Francis and Nancy Keane; Patrick Keane and Paula Lancisi; and James and Elizabeth McDonough. A funeral mass celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 11:00am at St. Bernard Church in Vernon, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances in Bills name may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 628, Hartford, CT 06103.
