YVONNE KRASCO (PERRY) STAFFIER

STAFFIER, Yvonne (Perry) Krasco Beloved daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, died April 25, 2013, at the age of 81, in Boston MA. Yvonne was born in Somerville, MA in 1932, the only child of Helen (Baro) Perry and Theodore Joseph Perry. Yvonne's lifelong friends, Rose (Bucci) Antonuccio, Toni (DeCesare) Faria, and the late Gina (Bertolino) Gorman, were the sisters she never had. Yvonne graduated from Medford (MA) High School in 1949, and in 1952 married John Staffier, Jr. They lived for one year in Hanau, Germany, an experience that inspired Yvonne's love of travel and meeting people from other places. The Staffiers later lived in Medford and Wakefield, MA until their divorce in 1972. In 1978, Yvonne met her best friend and husband, Jack Krasco, at Logan Airport where they were both picking up family member arrivals. They married in 2002 after a 23-year courtship. In addition to her husband, Yvonne is survived by her three children: Helene O'Brien, of Cambridge, MA; Phyllis Staffier, of Andover, MA; and John Staffier III, of Pepperell, MA. She is also survived by three treasured grandchildren: Timothy O'Brien of Somerville, MA; Tess O'Brien of Oakland, CA; and Bridget O'Brien of Cambridge, MA. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., STONEHAM, on Wednesday, May 1, from 8:30-9:30AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated after visiting hours at St. Patrick's Church, Stoneham, at 10AM; interment at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Yvonne has requested that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
