Edmond LaPointe Obituary

LaPOINTE, Edmond J. 80, of Wrentham, MA and Boothbay Harbor, ME, died October 2, 2010. He was the loving Husband of Betty N. (Wright) LaPointe, and dear father of Nancy Strojny and husband Theodore of Cape Elizabeth, ME, Bradford E. LaPointe, of Wrentham, MA, William E. LaPointe, of Wrentham, MA, and Lawrence W. LaPointe and wife Margarita of Crofton, MD. He was the devoted grandfather to Diana Frascella and husband Matthew of Dedham, MA, Andrew Strojny and wife Jennifer Boydstun of Boise, ID, Nicole LaPointe and wife Amy Erlandson, of Boston, MA and Amanda Kate Strojny of Charlestown, MA. He is also survived by two sisters, Lorene Lane of St. Petersburg, FL, and Claire Dickey of Cashiers, NC. Born in Fairfield, Maine, he enlisted in the Navy after graduation from Lawrence High School and served four years in the submarine service. A Master Plumber, he owned and operated B&E Plumbing and Heating of Norfolk, MA for thirty years.Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the R.J. Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, Route 1A, WRENTHAM CENTRE, on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. His Funeral Service will be in Trinity Episcopal Church, 47 East St, Rte 140, Wrentham Centre, at 10:00 am, Thursday, October 7, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, Operating Fund, P.O. Box 55, Wrentham, MA 02093.

No words can express the sadness we have due to the passing of such an exceptional man. He will live on in each of us through the wonderful memories he gave us. With deepest sympathy and love. I was blessed to have him as my Uncle.
