Carl Sapers taught "Legal Aspects" at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard. He was a great teacher and set us up well to survive in a difficult profession. My condolences go out to his family. Elisabeth (Lisa) Cunningham, GSD '86

In my time in Town Meeting when he was moderator, I found him a gentleman of the old school, courteous and thoughtful. Brookline was blessed by his commitment and many services to the town.

Carl was a great Moderator of Brookline Town Meeting. He did such a good job, was so nice to everyone and so smart that serving on Town Meeting was fun. And it wasn't always easy. Carl defused anger and handled controversy well.
