Thinking of you

I'll think of you when I see the peak of a blue mountain in the distance, and
I'll think of you when I see the most beautiful valley of green swaying in the quiet lull.

I'll think of you when I see new life all around
in the fresh dew drops on the lilies by my house
and the snout of a kitten purring its first satisfaction.

I'll think of you when I see the Cadbury chocolates that your aunt said you loved,
and I'll think of you when I smell the air on a cool morning at the bus stop.

I'll send you off on a stone skipping across the surface of the lake,
a stone that makes circles that open away, the same shape each time,
no matter the rock.

I want to remember you as the blue mountain in the distance,
and I want to think of you when I see beauty around me,
but this is difficult.

These natural features can't hold your smile.
They could never get the freckles right.

For now, I'll lay back on my pillow,
and find ways to keep you with me
when I close my eyes.

Memory is a powerful music.

Better late than Never. I do not know what to say to express my deepest sympathy over the loss of Vic (Victoria). I can say I feel for you and I mean it having lost Samantha Turner less than 18 months ago! I know that Samantha adored Victoria and was proud of her. They are now riding together up there along with Samantha's cousin Helen who died 5 weeks after Samantha (Same age as Samantha). You are not alone in your grief and please let me know what I can do to help. Debbie Turner

Dearest Vic,
We are so incredibly sad you are gone. So many ways to describe you; loving daughter and sister, hard working student, avid board gamer, voracious reader, talented baker, Dr Who super fan, and lover of all things Halloween. Your concern for animal welfare and human equality reflected your compassion for the most vulnerable among us. We will miss your mischievous smile but will keep your memory very much alive as we remember the sweet person you were and all the good times we shared.

My two teens were in the WMS jazz band, WHS wind ensemble and WHS 2:00 jazz band with Vic.
I have a fond memory of my daughter and Vic running around Faneuil Hall on the WMS jazz band field trip to the state house. What a privilege it was to see Vic's bright smile!
I hope that the many loving memories that you have together as a family with Vic will help provide solace in the days to come.

There are no words to express how deeply saddened we are about the loss of your beloved Vic. Our hearts go out to all of you during this extremely painful time. She touched Matthew's life with warmth, and they shared a wonderful friendship. One of the things that I am truly going to miss is hearing Vic play the tenor sax in our livingroom during their sax sectionals. She was blessed with so many gifts that she graciously shared with others and will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Thank you Vic, for your bravery, and your unwavering kindness. I will never forget your warm smile that you were always willing to share with me. I only wish there was more time. It's still so hard to believe that such a beautiful soul is no longer with us. But I do believe that you are still smiling tenderly down on everyone who loves you. So thank you.

I'll always remember how you helped teach me how to ride a bike, and that time that we had to traverse across the entire mountain just to get back to the bottom of the mountain because every single run besides the double black was closed and neither of us wanted to do that run. I'll remember singing along to Tangled, crying when Mufasa died together, and you trying to get us to watch horror movies with you. I'll have fond memories of taking artsy photos by the pond, of birthday pig, and of having to survive the first night at Pony Farm training weekend with no heat in January. You were the best friend anybody could have asked for, you made Wellesley High shine so much brighter. The first day of school without you is going to be the hardest day of school ever, even harder than Ms. Liao's US History final. I love you so much Vic, I'll look for you every time I watch the night sky. I know you're playing with ponies and cats up there, so I know you're happy. Give Mystic some love for me, I know she missed you.

Love, Bec

Dear Klenk family--Vic was a classmate of our daughter Lucy. I remember so well how much time Lucy spent at your house working on the chemistry IRP with Vic. More recently they worked on calculus together. Vic was so good at so many things, but the pictures of Vic horseback riding have impressed us the most--their passion for this was truly beautiful. We are so devastated for your loss, and we are so incredibly sorry for all the pain you are enduring. May you feel the love and support of the Wellesley community wrapping you in our arms. I knew Vic from WAGLY and she/they was a glimmer of hope. I have dealt with past bullying and trauma but Vic made me laugh, her great jokes and talking about her horses made me think it wasn't so bad after all. I loved talking with her. I am so very sorry for your loss.
