Mrs. Lane and Family: I am deeply saddened to hear of Mr. Lane's passing. Ever since Kevin and I met in elementary school I considered you all to be my second family. From playing ice hockey to spending holidays at each other's houses, I will always remember the good times we had. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of Jim's sudden death and pray that your family can heal in time. He was always cheerful and engaging. Ages ago Jim and Sheila took me to my first hockey game, a road game for Merrimac. I will always remember family get togethers and interaction. Peace Ken Pothier

Dear Aunt Sheila , Jimmy, Kevin and Denise . We're so sorry to hear of Uncle Jim being ill then passing so quickly . I only wish I could have seen him one more time at my Mom's party .I loved talking to him and of course Charlie and Bill too . I guess there is some comfort in knowing how much he was loved and what a great family he captained all these years . It's so great when you're young to have such a big family and enjoy the gatherings but the sad side of it is that you have many more loved ones to say good bye to. I know in my heart that it's only for a while and we surely will all be reunited again someday as Jesus promised . Please accept our condolences for your loss but rejoice in Uncle Jim's great example and accomplishments including his family . God's Blessing to you all ! Eddie, Lisa & Ali McAveeney

Sheila, I want to express my deepest sympathy on the death of your dear husband, Jim. I frequently ran into Jim and you at Our Lady of the Cape, and at the Brewster library. I was always so glad to see him when I went to sign in at the Captains Course. Golf won't be the same without him. He was a warm hearted gentleman who made me feel very much at home at the Captains. He will be sorely missed. Sincerely, Margaret Sweeney
