I have very respectful memories of Judge Russo from comments made by my father, Joe Malgeri of East Boston, who was a friend of his and then my own encounters with Judge Russo as he very professionally and compassionately served PERAC for so many years. He exemplifies a wonderful example for the rest of us!

Dear Julie,
I was saddened to read of the passing of your dear father in the newspaper. May God rest his soul and may he forever requiescat in pace.

Judge Russo was a very personable chairman for us at PERAC. I am a retired auditor and have fond memories of him entertaining a group of us at PERAC' Amherst conference with stories while we were waiting for the dinner service. His legacy is how he treated people, which means he has the very best legacy possible. Rest in peace very deservedly with all the blessings of heaven!

My condolences to Judge Russo's family. I appeared before him often at the East Boston D.C. during the 80s and 90s. He was a fine judge with a nice sense of humor. We were also fellow Naval Reserve officers. God Bless you during this difficult time.

Please have my condolences for your loss. Judge Russo was an extraordinary man and an ideal justice: very smart, knowledgeable about the law, hard working, and wise. He treated everyone with respect and courtesy, and usually directed his gentle humor toward himself. He really understood people and our failings, and acted with compassion toward all. I wish he could have been a judge forever.
