We were so sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. Love was so special in my live and a big influence in my musical taste.

The support he gave to my musical talent in the early 60's has lasted a lifetime. I played violin in the MHS orchestra & sang in Choral Art Alumni all over New England. After graduation I kept singing in church, college, for weddings, cabarets, musicals and in clubs as a guest of a musician friend. I especially enjoyed seeing Bob play the Wurlitzer theater organ when he came to Providence Performing Arts in Rhode Island. I have a couple precious recordings of him and wish I had more. Anyone wishing to reminisce is welcome to email me at [email protected]

I always admired Bob. While not a member of his orchestra, I was in the band (class of 1960). I will never forget him. God Bless!

I barely knew Bob, but everytime I would see him or talk to him he was such a great person to be around. I'm truely saddened by this and I will keep the family and his name in my heart.

I am saddened to learn of Bob's passing. I've known Bob for 26 years and he played the organ at my wedding in 1993. He was very much a man who sailed life's seas like a valiant old norse viking.

Bob Love was a great man. If it was somthing as much as performing a musical masterpiece or somthing as little as explaining a picture from a previous year to a new camper, Bob was allways trying to make everyones summer one they will never forget. Somthing I think he did very well.

Bob was one of my favorite counselors at Camp Lanakila. I remember him not only for his talents but his absolute love for music. In the most recent Camp Musical, Annie Get Your gun, Bob made a small mistake during the overture. He started playing the overture to "Oklahoma" When he realized the mistake, he made a slick manuever that got him back on track. I don't know anybody else in the world who could fix a mistake in music so beautifully and I probably never will. Camp will never be the same without Bob. Thank You Bob Love for 4 years of great music and dedication

Death is like the most brilliant sunset one can imagine. Fierce colors fill the sky; but through all these colors, an even brighter light shines from the place which is after death ...

Bob was a truly radiant spirit who quietly animated those around him ... i was one of thousands of campers and counselors at Lanakila who was touched by that and will never forget him (and his lopsided wig in the 80s!). His name was fitting.

His music filled our church with Gods Love every Sunday and for the most memorable days of my life, my dedication, baptism and wedding.

We will miss you Bob,

To a man who brought joy and music to new levels, introducted thousands of people to his wonderful and uplifting notes, and always put a smile on the faces of people around him. He made the world a better place, taught music and life lessons to kids of all ages for more than all the years I have been alive.

Memories abound of your music echoing of the mountains and lakes of Vermont. Your smiling face after a swim in Lake Morey. And that look when someone snapped a branch to loud at chapel.

God Bless and Skol!

Bob was an inspiration to me and countless others during his 45 years at Camp Lanakila. He could bring wonderful music to any situation and left all of us awe-struck with his performances and leadership of musical events.

Bob brought music to so many people in so many different places and Lanakila is just one of these places where he will be sadly missed.
