BRENDAN DADDARIO Obituary

DADDARIO, Brendan J. 26, of Bourne, formerly of Medford, died on Saturday, March 19th, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket, RI. Brendan grew up in Medford until 2 years ago when he moved to Cape Cod. Brendan was a very influential member in the recovery community where he helped numerous addicts change their lives through his powerful message of hope. Brendan would never hesitate to take someone in and show them how to find their way back to sobriety by loving others and being happy with themselves again. Brendan's impact was evident during his last days as countless people showed up by his bedside to pray and tell stories to his family about how Brendan saved their lives. So many people came to give their support that the nursing staff had to ask some to leave because nobody could access the other rooms. One heartwarming story is about a person who was struggling with his recovery program because he was partially illiterate. Brendan not only sat down to help him read and understand the literature, but also helped him by writing down his thoughts on paper so Brendan could assist him in remembering them later by reading them to him. Brendan is survived by both parents, Anthony and Jane, his 3 brothers, Anthony, Eric and Evan; his aunt, Natalie and grandparents, Robert and Joan Sullivan, as well as his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and his beloved soul-mate, Chelsea Stenstrom. Family and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, on Wednesday, March 23rd from 3 thru 8 PM and again on Thursday at 8:30 AM followed by a Blessing in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Brendan Daddario Scholarship Fund, Gosnold Treatment Center, 200 Ter Heun Dr., Falmouth, MA 02540. Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to read of your loss. We lost our 22 year old son, Timothy Daddario, who was also in recovery, to a tragic accident in Emmaus, Lehigh County, PA. The similarity in these two "Daddario" boys certainly has an impact on me. I feel as though I relive July 21, 204 each and every day without moving on...and, as sorry as I am that your family had to endure this pain that cannot even be named...I was so uplifted to read of the impact that Brendan also had on the World...Again, I hope that these two "Daddario" boys have met up with each other...and continue to shine down upon our Daddario Families...
Sincerely,

Carina S. Daddario/wife of Timothy Daddario

If making a positive difference in the world is a major goal in any person's life, then Brendan's brief life was a success. His important message did not die with him. It will be remembered by those who were fortunate to know him. To Tony, Jane, Anthony, Eric, Evan, Natalie, and those close to Brendan, we cannot remember such strength and grace under such difficult circumstances.

When Jesus walked among us, he healed and befriended the sick, the poor, and those who suffered the most on Earth. It seems that Brendan followed exactly in Jesus footsteps. No doubt he is in heaven because of this. Where there is no pain, no suffering, only immense joy. God please bless the Daddario family and all who grieve and miss Brendan so much. Tony, Jane, Anthony, Eric, and Evan you are in our prayers.
