Armando Agusto

AGUSTO, Armando "Gus" 92, of Londonderry, NH, died Thursday, September 30, 2010 in Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. He was born in Waterbury, CT on November 7, 1917, a son of Antonio and Maria (Emelia) Augusto, and had been a resident of Londonderry for the past 16 years, formerly living in Somerville, MA. Mr. Agusto was a US Army Air Corp veteran serving during WWII, and was a member of the American Legion Post #27 in Londonderry. He was member of the International Machinist's Union, and had been employed for the N.E. Confectionary Co. in Cambridge, MA, retiring in 1982. Mr. Agusto had also been a self employed real estate broker. He loved gardening and traveling to Portugal. He is survived by his wife, Arminda Agusto of Londonderry; three sons and daughter-in-laws, Antonio A. (Patricia) Agusto of Millbury, MA, Louis P. (Jean) Agusto of Sterling, MA, and Robert P. (Kimberly) Agusto of Londonderry; his daughter and son-in-law, Donna (Charles) Amaru of Reading, MA; ten grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 4th from 4:00 - 8:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30am in St. Marks Church, One South Road, Londonderry.
