Uncle Sypek was a special man. A religious man. An educated man. A man for whom his church was his family. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Wujek Sypek byl szczegolny czlowiek. Czlowiek religijny. Wyksztalconym czlowiekiem. Czlowieka, dla ktorego jego kosciol byl jego rodziny. On bedzie pamietal czule przez wszystkich, ktorzy go znali.

As an alter boy for many years at St. Adlberts I remember every Saturday was payday! Msgr. would give all the alterboys $1 each. Not sure if he did this to keep us coming back every Saturday or if he just had lots of extra money (ha ha)
He took us all on trips a few times to the Radio City Music Hall and I don't know how he put up with us on the alter when we were not always his little angels.
Thank-You Msgr. for being a part of my life. I am sure that in some way you guided me to be the Son, Brother, Husband, and Father that I am today.

I too wish to express my sincerest condoloscences to the Sypek family. I spent part of my youth growing up in the west End prior to the 'Eminent Domain' which evicted so many Polish families. During that time I had the extreme pleasure of being an Alter Boy at Our Lady of Ostrabrama Church and later St. Hedwig's Church in Cambridge, MA where Monsignor Sypek frequently said Mass. Along with the Pastor, Msgr. Chmaij, I got to know Msgr. Sypek very well. I was also at the outdoor Mass in Hyde Park when the then Cardinal Karol Wotyla came to the U.S. God Bless you and rest in Eternal Peace with God Monsignor Sypek; I will never forget your always friendly greeting of "How are Ya ?"

Truly a great loss! He was a positive influence on me in my youth. Everyone in our neighborhood served as altar boys growing up. The trips to Paragon Park are still some of my fondest memories. There will never be another one like him. He will be missed. RIP Monsignor.

My deepest heartfelt sympathy to the
family. I started going to Mass at ST.

much peace there. Msgr. Sypek was truly
a wonderful dedicated priest. I will

To The Sypek Family,
Please accept my sincere sympathy on the death of Msgr.Sypek.As a student at Emmanuel College I was in a class he taught called Marriage And The Family.A memory I have is Msgr. Sypek telling the young women in the class not ever to put up with a boyfriend or husband hitting you. He said that if that ever happened hit the guy over the head with a frying pan or some other heavy object, leave him then call the police.
He was a man ahead of his time!!!May the good Lord hold him in the hollow of his hand.

MEMORIES!!! Our family........me, Tony and our 4 children (A.J.,Jo-Ann,Susan and Matt) will always have Monsignor Stan's memory tucked away in a little corner of our hearts for Msgr and St. Adalberts Parish was such a special part of our life......Matt and A.J. served as Altar Boys from the time they rec'd their 1st Communion until they graduated college. My husband Tony was an Usher.......I taught CCD Classes........even my beloved mom (Agnes (Furdyna) Hawley) and her sisters from upstate New York went on several pilgrimages with Msgr. and were always amazed at not only his inspirational/religeous side BUT HIS OUTRAGEOUS SENSE OF HUMOR........MSGR WAS A MAN AMONG MEN, COMPASSIONATE, CAREING, FORGIVING, DEVOUT, DETERMINDED (actually quite stubborn... it goes with his Polish heritage......BELIEVE ME....I KNOW FOR I AM OF THAT SAME BACKGROUND) and yet with all his wisdom and stature an extremely humble man.....God has chosen him at this time to call him home to Him and so we must not mourn inspite of our great loss ....WE MUST REMEMBER HIM AND TUCK HIM IN A CORNER OF OUR HEARTS WITH FOND MEMORIES AND GO ON....DIFFICULT AS IT IS GOING TO BE. MAY HE REST IN PEACE.....Most Sincerely, Valerie Bright and family
