American medicine has lost a national treasure, a remarkable clinician-scientist, a superb mentor for generations of physicians, and a mensch in every sense of the word. Iz Rosenberg's devotion to his patients and colleagues, his keen wide-ranging intellect, his droll sense of humor, and his joie de vivre will forever be missed.

what a treat it has been for me to have known both of the so impressive Rosenberg brothers. While I'd not seen Iz for the past 15 years I'd often thought back to the wonderful New Year's Eve dinners. Rosetta - condolences and much affection to you...............Lenny
