Mickey and Virginia Geller were the first chairs of Gateway's advisory committee, an art service Virginia and he advocated for their daughter to attend. They both worked tirelessly on behalf of Becky their daughter and the entire art center. Mickey used his fine intellect to analyze problem facing the art center as well as his legal skills and profound local knowledge of Brookline real estate. He Virginia, Becky and the entire Geller family at good people who are a privilege to have known and know. Mickey told me a charming anecdote on how he first managed to date Virginia when he was at Harvard, scraping together money to pay his roommate to switch dates when he fell in love with Virginia at first sight. Mickey flew over to the Vineyard with me after my husband's death, Virginia hosted beautifully and he helped me do long term planning for the art center. We also swam. He was a ferocious swimmer and a ferocious but wise advocate. With love to Micky, fond memories of Virginia and love to Becky and the entire family. Rae Edelson, director Gateway Arts
