Dear Sandy's family,
The Baers lived next door to my family from the time I was born (1947)until I was 10, and Sandy was my very first Best Friend. The picture was taken in 1955 and it's my favorite. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family and friends, and everyone who had the joy and privilege of knowing her. Laura Weis Danoff

Dear Barry, Liza, and Jesse,
I continue to think of you, especially during this holiday. Holidays can be difficult, because, as a family, you celebrated many good times together. As a Jewish family, we've often said that our favorite holidays are July 4th and Thanksgiving, since everyone, regardless of religious or other leanings, can celebrate. I think Sandy would have agreed!
Sending love and caring thoughts,
Dotty (Burstein)

Sandy loved life and was generous of spirit. She taught us all how to live and what is really important. Her prospective on things was spot-on. I've never known another person who could so accurately distill any issue down to its essence and articulate it for the rest of us to understand. She was a compassionate soul, whose spirit I shall miss.

To Barry, Jesse, Liza and Joanne,
I was very saddened today to learn of Sandy's passing. I was a high school friend of Sandy's. Sandy was truly a special woman...beautiful inside and out…smart, caring, funny, giving and inspiring. I remember most her sweet smile and infectious laugh. It made me happy to just be around her. Her loss will be felt by many. Please accept my deepest sympathy and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

To Sandy's family...I cannot tell you how sorry I am to hear of Sandy's passing. She was a warm, kind and supportive person to me and I enjoyed talking with her and getting to know her and "dancing" with her for many years. She was one of my favorite Aerobic Dancing students! She was always smiling! She will be missed terribly by all of us in my Winchester class, but we are blessed to have known her. God bless all of you and may she rest in God's arms.

To Barry, Jesse, Liza and Joanne:
As a childhood friend from kindergarten age in Milwaukee--including college @ Michigan--I am so sorry to hear about Sandy's passing. I know she struggled valiantly and retained her spirit throughout all this. No doubt, her strength was bolstered by all of you. Sandy was beautiful inside and out. I hope you will can comforted by wonderful memories of this incredibly special person and by the knowledge that her suffering is finished. That's a tall order at a time like this, I know.
