ALBERT ANDERSON Obituary

Anderson, Albert D. "Andy"
Died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 after a brief illness. Albert was the son of Andreas and Marion (Calen) Anderson, born on Jan. 6, 1928. He was predeceased by them and his two older sisters, Charlotte and Bethy. Albert grew up in Wellesley where he attended the public schools until he went to the Loomis School in Windsor, CT, graduating in 1945. He continued his education at Harvard, receiving an A.B. in 1949 and a M. Arch. from the Harvard Graduate School of Design in 1952. He worked his entire professional life as an architect in the Boston-Cambridge area. He lived with his family in Sherborn for 27 years, before moving to Petersham in 1985, where he continued to pursue his interest in both the built and natural environments. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nancy (Cahill) Anderson, and by his children: Maud Anderson of Tamworth, NH; Amy and husband David Troyansky of Brooklyn, NY; Kate and husband Donald Keller of Northborough; William and wife Kate Pousont Scarborough of Shelburne; and his grandchildren, Anna and Aaron Troyansky, Kirsten and Ethan Keller, Torsten and Macalistair Sloan Anderson, and a step-grandson, Dorian Pousont. He was predeceased by his son Seth Winslow Anderson.
