Ever since learning about Christiane's death, I've been filled with a feeling of deep sadness and senseless loss. Christiane and I were colleagues at the German Saturday School for many years, preparing the German "Sprachdiplom" together. While being a wonderfully reliable, very helpful, and highly engaged colleague, she was also a most dedicated teacher who
was keenly interested in her students' academic performance, as well as their emotional well-being.
I remember a long conversation during which Christiane told me that raising her three girls to become strong, independent, compassionate, happy women was her most enjoyable and important job in life. Dear Larissa, Anabel, and Kayleigh, may the memory of your mom's infinite
devotion and love for you be a consolation at this moment of darkness, and fill your hearts with happiness again in the future. Dear Martin, may your beautiful daughters through whom Christiane lives on be a source of comfort and joy.

It's been many years since Christiane Sattler taught our son at the German Saturday School, but I will never forget her professionalism, her friendly demeanor and her warm personality. She was a truly gifted teacher who left her mark on the lives of many students. What a devastating loss for her family! I will keep you in my thoughts.

I was shocked and saddened to hear the news. Although I worked with Christiane just 2 years at the German Saturday School, what I remember about her, is that she always had a positive presence about her. I wish her family strength in this difficult time.

I am so sorry for your loss. Christiane and I met while working on the Hanlon School Math Fair a few years ago. Although our work together was limited, I could tell right away how devoted she was to her children and family.

Words cannot express our sorrow. We were shocked to hear about your loss. In the seven years we have spent together in Boston we enjoyed our weekly play-dates with the children as well as being colleagues at the German Saturday School. Christiane always showed a quiet and loving presence in private and as a colleague. Thank you, Christiane, for all the time we could be together. May the peace that comes from the memories of love comfort you all and in the days ahead.

In her 12 years as a teacher at the German Saturday School, Christiane has had a lasting impact. Students, parents, and colleagues love her for her competence, keen intelligence, kindness, and empathy. It is thanks to her wonderful personality and support that hundreds of students embraced learning a foreign language. The Saturday School will forever be grateful to Christiane for her dedication. I will miss her tremendously as a friend and colleague.

Dear Martin, and Sattler Family,
Know that your brave Mom is finally at peace. Christiane was a lovely and gentle spirit. I recall the last few conversations I had with her, always about her children, she was such a wonderful Mother. Know that the memories she left behind will help all of you during this extremely difficult time, now and forever.
