CLARE A. BUTTS

Butts, Clare A. (Shiner-Huyghebart)
Of Sherborn, age 86. Born in South Boston, she was the daughter of the late Francis E. and Mary Josephine (Carrolan) Shiner. She was a graduate of the Gate of Heaven School. Clare had a full and rewarding career as a stenographer with the Department of Defense. She lived throughout her life in the Boston area and made her home in Medfield for several years prior to settling in Sherborn. Devoted to her faith, she was a tireless volunteer at Norwood Hospital and enjoyed serving as a Eucharistic Minister at the MetroWest Medical Center in Natick. Predeceased by her husband Russell Butts, she is survived by a daughter, Christine Henderson and husband Neil of Millis; two grandsons, Sean Henderson and wife Katie of Marshfield and Scott Henderson and Lizzy Francis of Somerville; a great daughter, Maeve Henderson; two brothers, Emmett Shiner of Silver Springs, MD, and Paul Shiner and wife Barbara of Sarasota, FL and was the sister of the late Terese M. Rogers and Harold "Mickey" Shiner. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews and extended family. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services in Celebration of Clare's Life with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Theresa of Lisieux Church, Sherborn, Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery in No. Attleboro. Visiting hours will be at the Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home, 90 Curve Street, MILLIS, on Tuesday from 4 -7p.m. If desired, donations may be made in Clare's memory to the Medway Country Manor Patients Activity Fund, 115 Holliston St. Medway, MA 02053.
