I met Chris in 1970 when I was rowing for U Penn and he rowed for Harvard. He was a friend of my future brother in-law's. I didn't know him well, but I liked Chris. Anyone who rows/rowed for Harvard is to be respected and admired.

Chris was a classmate at Groton. He was a good friend to me and everyone else in school. We skied together in New Hampshire, took different paths after school, then entered business schools on opposite coasts in the same year. We kept in touch every year at Christmas; I watched the girls grow up on Christmas cards. I am greatly saddened to know that Chris is no longer with us. A kind, generous, inspiring man. My condolences to Louise, Lindsey, Anne and Emily.

I just read about Chris' passing in the Groton School Quarterly. I'm shocked, to say the least. I'm sorry for his family's loss, and for all of our loss. It is grossly premature. Chris was 3 years ahead of me at Groton. He never failed to be kind to me. At the age of 13-15, a 16-18 yr old being friendly makes an enormous impression. We had nearby lockers in the gym, and I saw him almost every day. I'm not at all surprised by the lovely things people have already said about him. He was one of the nicest people in his Form.

With deepest sympathy.

May God Bless Chris Huntoon and his whole family...I had the honor of working with Chris as Wardens of St. John's church in Beverly Farms. Chris was an amazing mentor for me and he helped me so much during some difficult times; always with a sense of humor. It has been a tough go, yet you have left a wonderful footprint on this earth dear Chris......May your family grow in love to feel peace.

I know nothing can be said to decrease the feelings of loss you all must feel.

Chris will be remembered for being one of the bright spots in our discussions at HBS. He always added wit, humor, intelligence to the discussion. In our various get togethers, he was a gentle caring person.

He will be missed by everyone in his section at HBS, Section G.

Chris and I worked side by side at Hollingsworth and Vose Co. after he succeeded me as Treasurer of the company. He was a man of great integrity and skill but I will miss him most for his sense of humor and his compassion for others. For this I know that he will find peace and comfort in the hands of God.

Mr Huntoon was a very caring, loving father. I am so saddened by the news of his passing. My sincere sympathy goes out to his family especially Lindsey. I cared for her for 3 years of her recovery. The father daughter bond that they shared was like no other. No words can express that. So... sorry Lindsey. My deepest thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Jocelyn

Chris Huntoon was one of the finest gentlemen I've ever met and worked with. We enjoyed many hours together in the early morning over coffee before work began. I will miss his wonderful smile and gracious manner. He was an educated, brilliant man and a good friend. God bless his family at this time.
