Obituary Condolences

WALSH, Thomas M. Of Auburndale (Newton), Ma died at home Dec. 26 on his 75th birthday. Loving husband of Carol, and devoted father of Colin, of Newton and Keyran, of Portland,OR; Grandpop of Quinlan, of Wichita, Kansas; Brother to Sister Mary Margaret, and Marilyn Goeke, both of St. Louis and Kathy Sachtschale of Chicago; Father in Law to Gabe Walsh of Wichita, KA. Tom was born in St. Louis, MO and graduated from Washington University School of Architecture in 1965. After graduating, he joined the Peace Corps as a member of India 24 Team that was sent to Gorakhpur. He was Project Architect of hotels in Hawaii; Aga Kahn Hospital in Pakistan; International Clinics in Kuwait and Malaysia, as well as many local and worldwide projects. Tom and his family spent more than 10 years overseas, enjoying the variety of cultures and making friends as they traveled the world. He loved to talk politics and was pleased to be a warden for local elections. He will be remembered for his wit, smile, enthusiasm for adventure and wry sense of humor. A Memorial Service for the celebration of his life will be held on January 12 at 3pm at United Parish of Auburndale, Ma at 64 Hancock Street, reception to follow in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, tax deductible donations may be made to the Spirited Movement Foundation, Cohasset, which provides retreat events for patients with Parkinson's and other movement disorders.
