D'ANTONA, Anthony L. In Chelsea, formerly of East Boston, passed away peacefully in his daughter's arms with his family by his bedside on Sunday night, April 3. Beloved husband of Mary (Ducey) D'Antona. Devoted father of Anthony L. Jr and fiance Deidre Alba of Melrose, Susan A. D'Antona of Chelsea and fiance Michael Marchese of Everett, William Thompson and wife Prudy of GA., Mary Elaine Brown of Tewksbury. Dear brother of Robert D'Antona of MD and the late Joseph, Leo, Joan and Rosemarie. Former father in law of Adele D'Antona DiSalvo. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Lauren, Christopher, Brittany and Anthony. Also survived by his many adored great grandchildren, as well as his nieces and nephews. Family and friends will honor Anthony's life by gathering on Sunday, April 10 from 4-8 in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Sarartoga St. (Orient Heights) EAST BOSTON, and again on Monday morning at 8:30 before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, East Boston, for a Funeral Mass in celebration of his life at 10AM. Services will conclude with Mr D'Antona being laid to rest with military honors in the Mausoleum at Woodlawn Cemetery. Marine Veteran of WWII and Army Veteran of Korean Conflict, past member Masons and Eagles. In honoring Mr. D'Antona, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Chelsea Jewish Hospice, 123 Captains Row, Chelsea 02150.
