ANTON B. VIZY Obituary
VIZY, Anton B. Of the North End of Boston, peacefully on November 9th, 2016. Cherished son of the late Antal and Hildegard (Silbermayer) Vizi of Ocsa, Hungary and later Laakirchen, Austria. Born in Ocsa, Hungary, on March 25, 1937 and graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from the Vienna Arts Academy in Austria, Anton came to the United States as a refugee fleeing from the ravages of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. He was a fine artist most of his life, exhibiting geometric abstract paintings and constructions throughout his career in New Haven, New York, Boston, and Cambridge. He became a US citizen in the early 1970s and deeply loved our great country. Adoring brother of Erika (Vizi) Wasner and husband Erwin of Oberweis, Austria. Loving father of son, (Anthony) Dylan Vizy, and wife, Linda ("Roxanne") of Marblehead, and devoted grandfather to Aeryn, Aidan, and Anthony. Loving partner and dear friend to Jeanne Colahan of the North End of Boston. Also survived by a loving niece and nephew and their families in Austria. His family will forever miss his unique humor, encyclopedic knowledge of history and art, and passion for politics and our beloved New England Patriots. In Anton's honor, donations can be made to , Hospice Care. Per Anton's wishes, his family has chosen to have a small private ceremony.
