ARTHUR J. LATHAM Obituary
LATHAM, Arthur J. 86, a resident of West Chelmsford, passed away peacefully following his battle with cancer at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. He was the loving husband of Mary Batchelder (Ricker) Latham. Born in Pittsfield, MA on May 23, 1930, he was the son of the late Edward Harold Latham and Fabiola Angela (Girouard) Latham. In 1950, Arthur enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged at the rank of corporal in 1952. He earned his B.S. in Geology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and his M.Ed. from Boston University. For 34 years, Arthur was an Earth Science Teacher (8th and 9th grade) for Lexington Public Schools. In addition to his wife Arthur is survived by his children Nancy Latham of Stoneham and David Latham (Janice) of Pompano Beach FL; and brother-in-law James Ricker (Joyce) of Concord. Relatives and Friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Saturday November 26, 2016 at 11 AM in St. Mary Parish, 25 North Road, Chelmsford. Interment will follow in West Chelmsford Cemetery.
