CAROL A. (SYLVESTER) MELONE

Obituary Condolences

CAROL A. (SYLVESTER) MELONE Obituary
Melone, Carol A. (Sylvester)
Of Abington passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was 55 years old. Born in Westwood, Carol is the daughter of the late Francis (Frank) and Catherine (Kay) Sylvester and sister of the late Patricia McGrath of Walpole and Jane McNally of Plymouth, all originally of Hull. Carol is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Bob Melone of Abington, her two sons Scott and Bob Melone, her two daughters in law Maureen and Caitlin Melone, her three precious grandchildren, Ariana Melone of Weymouth, Madelyn and Cameron Melone of Hanover, her two sisters Barbara DiTullio of Norwell, Paula Holbrook of Marshfield and a multitude of loving nieces and nephews; all of whom she prized spending every able minute. Carol graduated from Hull High School in 1976 and soon after married Bob Melone of Hingham. Always remembered for her contagiously brilliant smile, Carol was a lover of the simple things in life. She was an amazing cook who enjoyed nothing more than filling the eager bellies of her family and friends. She enjoyed wearing her moccasins (regardless of the weather), rotating out spoon rests from her interminable collection and telling anyone who would listen how she "Only missed last night's numbers game by one." Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St, Rte 53 in HANOVER on Tuesday from 4-6:30 immediately followed by a memorial service at 6:30. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Carol's name to the Jimmy Fund at www.jimmyfund.com. For directions and our online guest book, please visit
