Dear Carol, and Cheryl
Far too many years have passed, you have lost 3 of the finest men any woman could call husband and son, and you Cheryl brothers. I feel empty inside, knowing you all as a family all our lives, in East Boston, sharing the joys and sorrows as we have, makes this so hard. I can only imagine your triple loss. Now loosing Darren. Gene, and Gino. You have each other and somehow you will get through this, it is something that is not easy to understand. All your wonderful memories will be precious as time passes...... I am here for you both. With Friendship and God's Blessings for strength and courage. Fran Riley

Unlike many people leaving messages here, I don't know the Testa family. I only knew Darren through his work for the East Boston Greenway and his unselfish devotion to building a better community. Long before others started talking about connecting the Bremen Street Park with Constitution Beach, Darren was walking the now-envisioned route with a small group of activists. Darren was a soft-spoken, very classy gentleman. I hope that any family that has lost such fine man will take comfort in the many memories he left all of us with. Thank you for sharing Darren with us.
