HERNON-JONES, Diane Of Marshfield and Palm Beach Gardens, FL, formerly of Quincy, died after a courageous battle with cancer on September 28, 2016. The beloved wife of 28 years to Martin Jones of Marshfield. Loving daughter of the late Patrick and Eleanor (Quinn) Hernon. Cherished sister of Christine Franceschini and her late husband Remo of E. Greenwich, RI, Mary Ann Uhlar and her husband Robert of Hanover, John Michael Hernon and his wife Brenda of Marshfield. Devoted Aunt of Matthew Constantino of Manhattan, NY, Jill Smith of E. Greenwich, RI, Carlene Esposito of Hoboken,NJ, Patricia Scanlon of Hingham, Patrick Uhlar of Hanover, John Hernon, Bryan Hernon & Brittany Hernon all of Marshfield, Christopher Jones of Cambridge, Sean DeSena of Wayne, NJ and Caroline Jones of NJ. Diane is also survived by numerous grand nieces, grand nephews cousins and friends. She grew up in Quincy, a graduate of North Quincy High School and received her degree from the University of Massachusetts. Diane worked as a social worker for Human Service Options, Inc. for more than 30 years. Her life was truly a service to others. She was devoted not only to her family but to her many friends as well. She will be remembered for her outgoing personality, her generous heart and her loving spirit. Diane will be sadly missed by all those who will be blessed to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 2-7pm in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main St., Marshfield at 10 AM. Burial in Couch Cemetery, Marshfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Diane may be made to the , P.O. 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
