DOROTHY E. (KROLL) CONNORS Obituary
CONNORS, Dorothy E. (Kroll) Of Exeter, NH, formerly of Saugus, Dorothy passed away peacefully with her daughter and granddaughter at her side on October 30, 2016 at the VA hospice in Manchester, NH. Dot was born May 28, 1923 on a farm in rural Wisconsin, she was 1 of 6 children born to Robert and Louise Kroll. At 18 years of age, at the height of WW2, she left home, joined the US Army and was assigned to the Army Air Corps in Pensacola FL. She was reassigned as a recruiter to Pocatello, Idaho where she met and within 2 weeks married Eddie Connors, the Trumpet player in the Air Force Jazz Band at a USO Dance that she was attending. She was waitress at the Kowloon Restaurant in Saugus for 25 years and during the early mid 60's Mrs. Connors was DEN MOTHER to the entire 75 member Princemen Drum Corps. She and her husband moved to NH in 1979 to help care for her granddaughter. Mrs. Connors is survived by 3 children; Wendy, Edward Jr., and Lawrence adopted son John Connors and her additionally raised 7 foster children. She is also the grandmother to 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers please donate to the fisherhouse.org to temporarily house the family of Vets receiving treatment at VA medical centers. The will be no viewing hours. The family warmly invites you to a graveside service at Riverside Cemetery, 164 Winter St., Saugus, MA on Friday November 4th at 1 p.m. For directions & condolences BisbeePorcella.com.
