BESTGEN, Ebba F. (Fristam) Of Quincy, formerly of Sheridan, WY, passed away, after a brief illness on May 25, 2016, at the age of 97. Born in Wyoming, Ebba has been a resident of Quincy for the past 75 years. She was a retired clerk at State Street Bank and Trust. Ebba was a longtime and faithful member at Faith Lutheran Church in Quincy. In her free time she enjoyed playing bridge and cribbage and loved flowers. She was also very generous, donating her time to many philanthropic causes that were dear to her. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Ebba will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. She was the wife of the late William H. Bestgen, Sr. Loving mother of William H. Bestgen, Jr. of No. Easton and the late Nancy Raila. Sister of the late Oscar, Greta, Ace and Agnes. Dear grandmother of Cheryl Sullivan, Marc Raila, Brad Bestgen and Lauren Hammad. Great-grandmother of Amanda and Ryan Sullivan, Kyle and Brooke Bestgen, and Nancy and Melody Raila. Reposing at the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., BRAINTREE. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. The family will be having a Memorial Service on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Faith Lutheran Church, 201 Granite St., Quincy, MA, all are welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ebba's name to the National Temporal Bone Registry, 243 Charles St., Boston, MA 02114.
