FRANCES A. COTTON Obituary
COTTON, Frances A. Entered eternal rest on October 27th, 2016 after more than a decade with Parkinson's disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Even though she couldn't speak or move she never lost her smile and not once complained about her situation. Fran was an inspiration to all she met. Her courage was admired at Linden Ponds in Hingham where she resided for the past seven years. Frances was the daughter of Harry and Abigail (Isenberg) Cotton of Waltham. She is survived buy her sister Marjorie Cotton Supple and her husband Joseph L. Supple of Centerville. She is Predeceased by her brothers Richard, Leslie and Robert. She is survived by her sister in law Carole Cotton of Waltham, Brother in-law Donald Bennett of Las Vegas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews: Barbara and Dennis Siggins of Sandwich, Heidi and Robert Pfiefer of Reading, Lauren Anderson and Joel Cotton of Tomah, WI, Susan and Michelle Cotton of Framingham, Jonathan Cotton of Cambridge, and grand niece and nephews: Dustin Siggins of Washington DC, Lesle and Charlie Siggins of Manchester, NH, Kate and Frank Lombbardi of Whitefield, NH and Irina Pfeifer and great niece Abigail Siggins. She also leaves many cherished friends. Frances grew up in Waltham and lived in Ipswich, MA until moving to Linden Ponds in 2008. Fran was a graduate of Waltham High School, Lasell College, attended Boston University where she majored in Biology. She worked at Brandeis University in Waltham, Arthur D. Little in Cambridge in Cancer Research. She retired as a Financial Manager and Advisor for Santander Bank in Danvers. She was an accomplished artist, potter, poet and world traveler. She truly was a modern renaissance woman. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Benevolent Fund of Linden Ponds, Linden Ponds Way, Hingham, MA 02360 or Beacon Hospice Suite 3, 32 Resnik Road Plymouth, MA 02360. or to THE PSP Foundation, The Eloise H. Troxel Brain Bank, Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, FLA 32202. A Memorial Service will be held at Linden Ponds in Derby Place, 203 Linden Ponds Way, Hingham on Sunday November 13, from 2-4 PM.
