MURPHY, Francis E. Of Dedham, passed away at Pine Knoll Nursing Center on July 6, 2016. Son of Daniel and Dorothy "Dolly" (Madden) Murphy. Born and raised in Roxbury (Cherry Valley) and graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School. Member of Local 7 Iron Workers. Avid collector and dealer who enjoyed weekends in New Hampshire. Survived by his wife Dorothy "Dotty" (Hurley) Murphy. Loving brother of Mary and husband Matt Sweeney of Dorchester, Eleanor Powers of Maine, and the late Thomas Murphy of Holbrook, Daniel Murphy of Holbrook, Paul Murphy of Quincy, Richard Murphy of Braintree, Margaret "Peggy" Kelly of Hingham and Dorothy "Dottie" Hayner of Stoughton. Loved by many nieces and nephews. Dear friend of many neighbors including the Conklins, the McIsaacs, Steve Reid and Trish & Steve Ng. Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Tuesday, July 12 at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, Dedham at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
