GERALD L. MCLEOD Obituary
McLEOD, Gerald L. Of Lexington, passed away on September 5, 2018. Resident of Brookhaven At Lexington, Lexington, MA. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy V. (Burns) McLeod. Loving father of Rebecca McLeod-Barnett and her husband Myron Barnett of Newton and the late David G. McLeod and his surviving wife Dana Phillips-McLeod of Waltham. Also survived by three grandchildren, Austin McLeod, Philip Barnett and Ethan Barnett. Dr. McLeod was born in Boston on Nov. 3, 1926. He received a B.S. degree (Summa Cum Laude) in chemistry from Wiley College in 1947 and earned a Master's degree from the University of Iowa and a PhD from Boston University. Both graduate degrees in the field of organic chemistry. Dr. McLeod worked as a Research Chemist for the National Bureau of Standards, Department of Commerce, Washington DC; Director of Research at Itek Corporation, Lexington, MA; and Technical Manager at Polaroid Corporation, Waltham, MA. Memorial Service to be held Saturday Sept. 22 at the Lexington United Methodist Church, 2600 Mass Ave, Lexington at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend. Interment Private.
