Obituary Condolences

FINN, Gregory Robert Age 62, formerly of Medfield, of medical complications on April 17th in Tequesta Florida. Son of the late Robert and Helen Finn of West Yarmouth Mass, he is survived by his brother Gerald and wife Pat and three nieces; Cassandra, Madeline and Jacqueline of Millville, Mass., and his long time girl friend Debbie Muller of Tequesta Florida. "Huck" will always be remembered for his iron man strength, "never say quit attitude" and his legendary talents on the gridiron. He captained the Medfield High School Football team to two Tri-Valley Championships in '66 and '67 and later was named as Junior College "All American" at McCook Junior College in McCook Nebraska. He received a full scholarship to Marshall University in West Virginia where he played against Jack Lambert of Kent State of the famed "Steel Curtain Pittsburg Steelers" . A major knee injury his senior year prevented him from traveling with the team to the fateful East Carolina University football game in which the entire football team, coaches, boosters and family members were killed in a fiery plane crash returning home from the game. It was this plane crash that the movie "WE ARE MARSHALL" honored. His love for his friends, ocean fishing and his willingness to always be available to help out the underdog were his hallmarks. Arrangements are being handled by the Martin Funeral Home and Crematory at 961 South Kanner Highway in Stuart, Florida. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Saint Augustine's Parish in Millville Massachusetts. RIP brother.
