McDERMOTT, Harold J. "Harry" 92 of Quincy and Vero Beach, FL, formerly of Milton, passed away on Monday, September 10th at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston. He was a proud Marine Corps Veteran of WW ll. He worked for Boston Edison before retiring in 1981. During retirement, he enjoyed a second career in real estate and property management. He is survived by his loving wife Ruth E. (Farrell) and his children Harold "Jay" McDermott of Quincy, Tracey A. McDermott-Styles (Al Styles) of Hingham. Father of the late Michael McDermott. Proud Grandfather of Michael A. Styles of Hingham. He was the brother of the late Francis and William McDermott and Lillian Coley. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Care Dimensions Hospice and Brigham and Women's Hospital for their overwhelming support. Viewing has been omitted. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Agatha's Church on Saturday, September 15th, at 11:30 AM with a celebration of life to follow. Burial service will be private.
