HENRY "SPUNKY" SZYMURA Obituary
SZYMURA, Henry "Spunky" Died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on July 30th at his home in Newburyport, MA. Henry was born in Newburyport on July 31st 1928, and was the son of the late Joseph and Sophia Szymura.  He was an Army Veteran, honorably serving his country in the Korean War. Henry was employed as the Director of Data Processing for the Massachusetts State Legislature for many years. Henry leaves behind his beloved wife, Helen (Sinatra) Szymura, Christine Abrams and her husband Jon, Laurie Kirby, Stephen Szymura and his wife, Sonia, his beloved grandchildren, Amanda and Andy Olson, Caroline and Brendan Kirby, Jacob, Julia, Sophia, Isabelle and Nick Szymura and Leah Abrams. He was predeceased by two of his grandchildren, Ashley and Andrew Colwell and also by his wife, Patricia (Sullivan) Szymura, who died in 1977. A Funeral Mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, 42 Green Street, Newburyport, MA on August 2nd at 10:30 AM. Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Henry can be made to the Andrew Colwell Scholarship Fund, c/o The Bank of Easton, 12 Roberts Drive, South Easton, MA.  02375.
