FRENCH, Hollis II Of Annisquam, retired President of Johnny Appleseed's, age 85, died Saturday, May 11, 2013 following a brief illness. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a 1950 graduate of Harvard College. He is survived by his beloved wife Helene "Linette" (Peter) French; his children, Peter B. French and his wife, Sue; Sarah French Wilkins and her husband, Stephen; and Hollis French III and his wife, Rosemary; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, John B. French and his wife, Deborah; a sister-in-law, Janot Ruggles and her husband, Tom; a brother-in-law, Georges Peter, MD and his wife, Carolyn and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by his twin brothers, Peter B. and Alden French, Jr. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 18th in the Annisquam Village Church, 820 Washington St., Gloucester at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Addison Gilbert Hospital, c/o Cindy Donaldson, 298 Washington St., Gloucester, MA 01930 or to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.
