ADAMS, James Campbell Jr. 82, of Glastonbury, CT, husband of Jane S. Adams, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 13, 2010. Born on July 14, 1927, in Boston, son of the late James Campbell Adams and Burnetta Elizabeth (Mutch) Adams, he was raised and educated in Hingham and Cohasset, MA. He graduated from the University of Maine in 1950 and had a 50 year career with the Warren Trask Company, a wholesale building materials company. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman with a love of sports, especially the Boston Red Sox In addition to his wife of 57 years, Jay is survived by his four devoted children and their spouses, Constance L. Adams-Keilch and her husband John Keilch of West Hartford, CT, James C. Adams, III and his wife Lisa Adams of Glastonbury, CT, Gilbert S. Adams and his wife Kim Adams of Medfield, MA, and Patricia Adams-Balf and her husband Todd Balf of Beverly, MA; ten grandchildren, J.C., Rachel, and Julia Adams of Glastonbury, CT; Gil Andrew, Paul, Dean, Meryl, and Ben Adams of Medfield, MA; Celia and Henry Balf of Beverly, MA; and his brother Robert Adams of Groton Long Point and his sister-in-law Lee Adams of Duxbury, MA and their two children Betsy Moroccu and Robert Adams. ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be Saturday, May 22rd from 1:30 p.m. till 4:30 p.m. at the Glastonbury Funeral Home at 450 New London Turnpike, GLASTONBURY, CT. Other arrangements will be private.
