1942 - 2016 Obituary Condolences
JANE DEUTSCHMANN Obituary
DEUTSCHMANN, Jane Age 74, beloved daughter of the late Milton and Lenore (Walk) Deutschmann, and dear sister of Grace Lerman. Entered into rest on May 9, 2016, of end stage kidney disease. From 1956 until 2010, Jane lived at the Walter E. Fernald School in Waltham, and since 2010, at the Hogan Regional Center, in Danvers. A stroke during birth caused her retardation, but neither she nor her life was tragic. Like so many with developmental disabilities, her years, though not easy, were filled with learning, mastery, and relationships of great affection and understanding. Her gentleness, sweetness and astonishing ability to suddenly express herself clearly and exactly, will be among the many memories held by those who knew and loved her. Services will be private handled through Stanetsky Memorial Chapels. Friends are invited to sit Shiva and visit on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 2-5 PM at her sister's home in Danvers. A memorial service will be held at the Hogan Regional Center, in June. If you wish to make a memorial donation in Jane's memory, please send it to: Friends of Hathorne 4 Gift Fund, c/o Rosemary Bevins, 450 Maple St., Danvers, MA 01923.
