JEROME T. "JERRY" DERENZO Obituary
DERENZO, Jerome T. "Jerry" Of Fort Myers, FL formerly of Needham passed away peacefully on August 8th, 2018. He is predeceased by his beloved parents, Jerome and Evelyn Derenzo and his sister, Dawna Ann Derenzo. He is survived by his cherished children, Dawna Jane Derenzo of Boston, and Jerome "Jerry" Derenzo of Jersey City, NJ. He is also survived by his sister, Paula Zurcher, her husband Dr. Robert Zurcher, and their family of Elgin, SC and a brother Jay Derenzo, his wife Elizabeth and their family of Wellesley, MA. He is also survived by an extended and loving family. Born and raised in Needham, Jerry attended Villanova University and graduated Cum Laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a degree in Civil Engineering and Project Management. Jerry will be remembered most especially for his charm, his warmth, and his laughter. Jerry's family would like to offer their sincerest gratitude to the Villa Marie Clair Hospice of Saddle River, NJ for the loving care and compassion he received in his final days. Jerry passed away with grace and dignity. Visiting hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., Needham on Wednesday, August 15, 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass celebrating Jerry's life and faith will be held on Thursday August 16, at 11 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 1382 Highland Ave., Needham. Relatives & friends kindly invited.
