TACK, Joan T. (O'Leary) Age 78, of Milton, formerly of Braintree, died peacefully, Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Milton, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born in Boston, raised in Neponset and was a graduate of Saint Ann's Elementary School and the Jeremiah E. Burke High School in Dorchester. She has lived in Milton for two years, previously over forty years in Braintree. Joan was a homemaker but had also worked several years as a paralegal. Joan was devoted to her family and especially to her four cherished grandchildren. Beloved wife for fifty-four years of David P. Tack. Devoted mother of David P. Tack, Jr. and his wife Cristina of West Newton, Kathleen M. Danna and her husband Jim of Cary, NC, Joseph P. Tack and his wife Bernice of Dorchester and the late Carolyn M. Tack. Loving grandmother of Colin, Dylan, Aiden and Declan. Dear sister of Evelyn Squier of AZ and the late John J. O'Leary. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, QUINCY, Monday, August 13th at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington Street, Braintree at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
