Obituary Condolences

DEE, Joanne Age 76, she was born in Dorchester to Michael and Mary (Hurst) Settino. She was predeceased by her three younger siblings: Judith Mullin, Michael Settino, and John Settino. Joanne spent the majority of her younger years in Braintree. She graduated from Fontbonne Academy in Milton in 1960 and later worked at the Boston Horticultural Society and then with the US Embassy in Sweden. She spent three years in Sweden and was even crowned as Santa Lucia in the annual Santa Lucia parade. She married John C. Dee in 1967. Joanne and John spent their marriage raising three daughters in Needham where she met her best friend, Linda Edlin and her family. The two families grew together quickly and formed a bond that has lasted until this very day. Joanne moved to North Attleboro in 2013 and has spent her years being involved in the St. Vincent De Paul, the local food pantry, the Guild, and attending St. Mary's parish. Joanne outlived her husband, the late John C. Dee (June 21, 1945-October 1, 1991). She is survived by her three daughters; Laura Dee, Jennifer Moquin (Dee) and husband Marc Moquin, Allyson Montana (Dee) and wife Sarah Montana. Joanne also leaves behind 6 grandchildren Maya, Noah, Olivia, Elijah, Isabella, and River who were the lights of her life. Joanne has many nieces and nephews she held dear whom she also leaves behind; Michael, Julie, Vicky, Matthew, Robyn, Billy, and David. She is survived by her aunt, Dr. Dorothy Miller, sister-in-law Jacqueline Milani and her brother-in-law Edward Mullin. In lieu of flowers, donations to Joslin Diabetes Center, www.joslin.org. Visiting Hours: Visiting hours will be held at Sperry McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove St, North Attleboro, MA on Sunday, July 15 from 3-6 p.m. A funeral Mass will be Monday, July 16 at St. Mary's Church, 14 Park St, North Attleboro at 10 a.m.
