JOHN DROBOT Obituary
DROBOT, John 76, of Westford, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012 at his home in Westford. John was born in Boston and raised and educated in Cambridge. He was a graduate of Rindge Technical School in Cambridge. He served with the United States Airforce. John was employed with Tautron for 21 years and most recently with Microwave Logic Corporation for 10 years, prior to his retirement. Following his retirement he was a member of the Amateur Telescope Makers of Boston and a volunteer teacher of astronomy in the Lowell School System. He loved music, and his favorite pastime was playing the banjo. John has been a resident of Westford since 1964 where he was once a member and Past President of the Westford Jaycees. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him. He leaves his loving wife of 50 years, Diane (Lamy) Drobot of Westford, two daughters, Jane Marie LeBlanc of Bolton and Mary-Anne Arrighi and her husband Scott of Groton, a brother, Robert E. Drobot and his wife Bozena of CA, 5 sisters, Carol Williams of NH, Dorothy Natsi of NH, Eleanor Birdsong and her husband Oscar of CA, Joyce Como and her husband Ronald of NH and Denise Smith of SC, grandchildren, Hannah and Gabrielle Arrighi of Groton and Derek and Paige LeBlanc of Bolton, several nieces, nephews and dear friends. He is predeceased by a son-in-law, John Martin LeBlanc and a brother-in-law, Thomas Natsi. Friends are invited to call on Thursday May 17th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the J.A. Healy Sons Funeral Home, 57 North Main St., Westford. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine's of Alexandria Church in Westford. Cremation is to follow.
