1943 - 2016 Obituary Condolences
SULLIVAN, John E. 72, of Framingham, died peacefully on Thursday, April 28, 2016. Born in Boston, son of the late John E. Sullivan of Kerry, Ireland and Catherine (Keaveney) Sullivan of Roscommon, Ireland, John was husband of Maryelaine (Houseman) Sullivan, for 45 years. John was a resident of Framingham since 1971. He graduated from Mission Grammar School and Mission High School in Roxbury, and from Tufts University in 1965. John worked as a chemical engineer for F.M. Global for 39 years, and prior to that worked for Harvard School of Public Health and the Cabot Corporation. He was very active with the Framingham United Soccer Club both as a coach and administrator, and is a lifetime board member. An avid sports fan, John loved Boston teams. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Meghan F. Palestis & her husband Brian of Union, NJ, and Katherine M. Fanous & her husband Brian of Framingham, his sister, Catherine Cudmore of Atlanta, GA, four loving grandchildren, Connor and Caitlin Palestis, and Sonia and John "Jack" Fanous. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Joan McGowan. Visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., FRAMINGHAM on Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 1-5pm. Funeral Mass in St. Anselm's Church, 100 Landham Rd., Sudbury, on Monday morning, May 2, 2016 at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Interment St. Stephen's Cemetery, Framingham.
