He was a graduate of St. John's Preparatory School and Boston College, with a degree in accounting. He was a dedicated employee, of 26 years, at Superior Packaging & Finishing in Braintree, MA.

John was known for his kindheartedness with his family and friends along with his spirit and generosity for those less fortunate. John was a proud cancer survivor. He loved to play cards with his close friends, "The Mustache Club" and learning to cook and garden from his longtime friends Betty and Frank. He was an avid greeting card sender and always made the time to pen a note to the people he cared for and loved.
