Of Chelsea, formerly of Everett, unexpectedly, Nov. 5. Beloved husband of the late Jennie V. (Carideo). Devoted son of the late Emerina (Cataldo) and Enrico Cataldo. Dear and devoted father of Ellen M. Cataldo of Chelsea. Loving brother of Mary Cataldo of Everett and the late Angelo, Amoreso and Dominic Cataldo and Margaret Avakian. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Joseph's visiting hours in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main St.) EVERETT, Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 4-7 p.m. His funeral will be from the funeral home Wednesday at 9 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Michael the Archangel Chapel, 91 Crest Ave., Chelsea, at 10 a.m. Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joseph's memory to the New England Center for Homeless Veterans, 17 Court St., Boston, MA 02108 would be sincerely appreciated. Late member of Local 22, Laborers' Union and proud Army Veteran of WWII. Joseph was the recipient of the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon with Bronze Service Arrowhead. He also was a survivor of the Normandy Invasion on D-Day. Joseph was awarded France's highest decoration, The Legion d' Honneur. Parking with attendants on duty.
