JOSEPH L. PACE Obituary
PACE, Joseph L. Of Abington formerly of Randolph passed away after a lengthy illness September 14, 2016 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of 31 years to Barbara M. (Curran) Pace. Loving father of Joseph L. Pace, Jr. and his wife of Barbara of Pembroke, Charles W. Pace and his wife Sharon of Dorchester, William F. Pace Chief, R.P.D. of Randolph, Kathleen M. Baddai and her husband Majed of Parrish, FL, Michael R. Cash of Quincy, Robert S. Cash of Franklin, Gregory P. Cash of Dorchester and the late Thomas J. Cash. Brother of the late Henry Pace, Mary Zumach, Alice Graziano, Katherine Flannery, Carol Colburn, William Pace and Dorothy Pace. Also survived by12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Joe was born in Boston, grew up in Randolph and was a graduate of Brockton Trade School. He served as a Cpl. in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War where he received the Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars and was a Purple Heart recipient. He retired as a patrolman after 38 years of service with the M.D.C. police, Blue Hills, Milton. After his retirement he was the Building Inspector for the Town of Randolph for many years and later became the Building Commissioner. He also was the part time Building inspector for the Town of Abington and Holbrook. Life Member of Randolph Amvets Post 51, and the V.F.W. Post. His greatest joy came from spending time with family, friends and spending time outside in the garden. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 N. Main St., RANDOLPH, MA 02368 until 9:00 AM Monday followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Bernadette Church, Randolph MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial will take place in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree MA.
