BARRY, Joseph T. Of Springfield, died on Wednesday, October 24, at the age 74, after a year-long struggle with cancer. Beloved husband of the late Nancy Lennon Barry. Son of the late Joseph V. and Adele Costello Barry of Boston. Loving father of Nancy M. Barry and her fiance, Arnold Roy of Turner, Maine, Joseph J. Barry and his wife Maria of Framingham, Michael Barry and his wife Barbara of Palmer, Patricia B. Sheehan and her husband Brian of West Roxbury, Chris Barry and his wife Shana of Butterfield, Maine, and Susan Morin and her husband Jeff of Windsor, Connecticut. Devoted grandfather of Michael, Nicholas, Daniel, Abby, and William. Brother to Adele Gray, Lyn Lodge, Dorothy Barry, Norma Cram, Stephen Barry, and Lisa Trengali. Also survived by sisters-in-law Cathi Leach and Joan Gilles, and brother-in-law Jack Lennon. Joe was raised in Hyde Park, Boston. He was a graduate of Boston Latin School and Boston College, and a Certified Public Accountant. He retired in 2003 after a long career, first with the accounting firm Hasken & Sells in Boston, then with National Blank Book Company, Dennison, and Avery-Dennison, primarily in Holyoke. Joe was a communicant at the former St. Matthew Church in Indian Orchard for many years, and more recently was a parishioner at Mary, Mother of Hope Church in East Springfield, where he was a member of the Men's Club. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 29, 2012 assembling at 9:00 a.m. at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., SPRINGFIELD and proceeding to Mary, Mother of Hope Church, Springfield for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery.
