TOPPING, Joy Elizabeth 33, disabled Army Veteran of Rochester, NH, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016 after a courageous twelve year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was the cherished daughter of Richard and Yvonne Topping of York ME, beloved fiance of Jim Goodwin of Rochester, NH. Loving sister of Amanda Topping of Falmouth, MA; Richard Topping Jr. and his wife Rory of Charlotte, NC; Gerald Topping and his wife Stephanie of Topsfield, MA and Aimee Bucci and her husband Anthony of Charlotte, NC; devoted aunt to Colin, Declan, Maeve, Caelyn and Claire; great- niece of Irene Dufour and niece of Thomas Smith both of Framingham, MA. She leaves behind many friends and relatives. She graduated from Westborough MA High School in 2000. She was most proud to serve her country in the United States Army during the Iraq war and as an MP she felt privileged to protect the Iraqi people as they voted in their first free election. She was a 2016 Graduate of Empire Beauty School. Her smile and love will be missed. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Thurs., Oct. 6 in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Rd., York, ME. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, Oct., 7th at 11am in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 22 Fox Run Road, Newington, NH. Burial with Military Honors will be at 2pm in the First Parish Cemetery, York, ME. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Visit
