SMITH, Kevin Michael Of Dedham, died on October 27, 2014 at the age of 59. Beloved husband for 35 years of Mitchell Adams. Loving brother to: Gerald of North Weymouth, David of Ipswich, Peter of Milford, Wayne of Westwood, and Brian of Needham. Born in West Roxbury, Kevin graduated from Harvard College and The University of Virginia Law School. He spent his professional years in various roles, including attorney at Gaston and Snow, President of Awdeh and Co. Real Estate, chief of staff to Governor William Weld, and completing his professional career with Fidelity Investments in India. A Memorial Service to be held Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 10 am at St. Paul's Episcopal Church on 59 Court St., Dedham, MA. Reception to follow.

I was so sorry to see that Kevin has passed away. We went to grammar school together and when we all got together years ago for a reunion it was wonderful to see him again. My prayers go out to his husband Mitchell and all his siblings and those who were close with him.

Although I only had a few occasions to meet and talk with Kevin, I can still hear his laughs; warm and gentle yet tough like himself. It was a true honor to get to know him. All of our mutual friends here in India are saddened by the news. Our heartfelt condolences go to his family.

Kevin was a kind, thoughtful, gentleman whose witty humor added to his charm and charisma. He was a great role model for those in upper management because he demanded excellence but without the attendant hard-nosed, overbearing demeanor.
